Nano precipitated calcium carbonate (NPCC)

The first product developed by NanoMaterials Technology (NMT) is nano precipitated calcium carbonate (NPCC). The production technology for NPCC has been out-licensed on a non-exclusive basis and has manufacturing output of tens of thousand of metric tons per year.

The High Gravity Controlled Precipitation (HGCP) platform can produce ultra-fine cubic shaped NPCC with these properties:

  • Average particle size 40 nm
  • Narrow particle size distribution
  • BET surface area >40 m2/g
  • No chemical inhibitor (no contamination)
